Common Questions At Bay Area Medical Supply
Will my insurance or Medicare cover this item?
Bay Area Medical Supply is certified by CMS to accept Medicare payments. Some of our items do qualify for reimbursement under Medicare, but this usually requires several steps including an order from your Doctor. We are happy to assist, please call or ask a team member at the store.
Do you offer delivery and installation?
Yes. We offer local delivery on all of our items, and shipping on a majority of our products. Some of the larger items like hospital beds require delivery and install, for these items we will work with you to schedule a delivery and an installation appointment.
Do you offer rentals?
Yes. We offer rentals on many of our products. These rentals are on a monthly basis. Items such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, knee scooters, oxygen concentrators, and others can be rented. Some items may require a prescription. If you have specific questions contact us at

I bought a device at another shop. Can you repair it?
We can fix and repair walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, and other medical equipment. If you bought or rented it from us the repairs may be covered under warranty. If you bought it somewhere else we can take a look. We have repaired customers' walkers and wheelchairs they purchased from other providers who do not have the same standard of customer service as us.

Is there a restocking fee?
Any items without warranty issues are subject to a restocking fee. Any items priced over $100 that are returned will incur a 20% restocking fee. Any total order over $500 will also have a restocking fee of 20% per item returned. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
What is your warranty policy?
Every medical equipment product sold or rented through Medicare, by our company carries a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Bay Area Medical Supply will notify all Medicare beneficiaries of the warranty coverage, and we will honor all warranties under applicable law. Bay Area Medical Supply will repair or replace, free of charge, Medicare-covered equipment that is under warranty. In addition, an owner’s manual with warranty information will be provided to beneficiaries for all durable medical equipment where this manual is available.
For medical equipment purchased through private pay, we will honor the 1-year manufacture's warranty coverage. Some equipment may have additional warranty coverage, which we can assist our customers if they have any questions.
